Who I am
My name is Lisa Gresch, and I am a speech-language pathologist and learning specialist. I work with clients ages 3-22, providing diagnostic and intervention services for speech and language disorders, learning disorders/differences, social skills, and executive functioning. I also provide academic coaching to help students develop skills and strategies for learning as well as parent coaching to help families support their child's learning at home. I love helping kids, teens, and young adults "learn how to learn" and become effective communicators!
I have a clinical and research background in evidence-based interventions for speech, language, social communication, and learning disabilities. I specialize in working with clients who have co-occurring language/learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral challenges. My clients often carry diagnoses of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, reading and writing disorders, executive function challenges, speech and language disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, auditory processing disorder, social communication disorder, social anxiety, or are gifted/twice-exceptional (2e). |
My Approach
My clinical approach is collaborative, client-centered, and relationship-based. I pull from a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies and intervention programs to develop a treatment plan that is uniquely designed for each client and family with whom I work. I do not believe in "one-size fits all" approaches to teaching, and my goal is to make learning fun! I love teaching my clients about how their brain learns and helping them discover new skills and strategies that fit their unique needs.
Many of the children, teens, and young adults with whom I work have "fallen through the cracks" and have not received the support they need to meet academic expectations and develop social relationships. I guide each client to recognize and understand their strengths and challenges so that they can find their unique voice and unlock their potential as a learner and communicator. For younger clients, I also provide support to parents as they help their child grow and learn. I value collaborating with families and other professionals who work with my clients to ensure we support the needs of the whole person. |
